As an avid art enthusiast, James Houghton is proud to be a part owner of Clay Street Studios, a spacious art center located in SE Portland, just a stone's throw away from the iconic Hawthorne district.

The studio is a collaborative effort between artists who seek to share their creativity with the community. The studio space at the back is perfect for artists to work on their creations and hone their craft. There are also ample opportunities for artists to collaborate with one another, share ideas and techniques, and work together on projects.

The gallery space up front is where the magic of Clay Street Studios is shown to the public. The studio is home to exhibitions showcasing works from local artists, both emerging and established, in a variety of mediums including ceramics, painting and sculpture. Music shows, such as local bands and DJ sets, provide an immersive experience for guests.

Not limited to showcasing and appreciating art, Clay Street Studios offers classes and workshops to foster creativity, hone skills, and inspire the burgeoning artist in everyone. These classes are taught by experts in their respective fields and serve as a platform for artists of all levels to learn and grow.
